A 90 minute workshop to support you in preparing for your fourth trimester.

In many cultures, they understand the deep importance of the postpartum period, taking care of the newborn mother as she heals and adjusts to her new role. For the most part, within Western culture, the respect and time we give to this sacred time is very little. There is a pressure to 'bounce-back' and a shame around taking things slow. 

Postpartum planning should be woven amongst the preparation we do for birth. And no, I am not talking about the pram you'll choose or arranging nursery furniture, but real preparation.

In this 90 minute Postpartum Preparation Workshop, we'll delve into the five pillars of postpartum wellness, closely considering what to put in place to enhance your healing journey, easing your transition into motherhood. 

I also work with growing families to prepare for the birth of a new sibling and how to prepare the whole family as you all transition to your new roles. 

What we'll cover:

  • Previous postpartum reflections (if any)
  • Five pillars of postpartum wellness
  • Calling in¬†support¬†and setting boundaries with family & friends
  • Nourishing yourself in the early days & weeks
  • Practicing self-care in the postpartum
  • The benefits of skin-to-skin
  • Navigating breastfeeding & when to reach out for support
  • Expressing milk & introducing a bottle
  • Newborn behaviours
  • Elimination Communication

There will also be time for you to ask any questions and explore anything coming up for you.
